The 2026 summer cottage on Sørlandsleia
Halfway between Lyngør and Tvedestrand lies Sørlandsleia – a beautiful, sunny holiday cottage area with spectacular views, plenty of sunshine from morning to evening, and just a short walk to the sea. This is where the holiday home idyll begins, right where the waves end. In 2026, Sørlandsleia in Tvedestrand will host the hit TV show Sommerhytta on TV 2. Over ten intense weeks, viewers will get to know four pairs of contestants competing to win their own summer cottage.
The cabins are of the Frøya 41 model, supplied by Nordlyshytter. This is a modern, space-efficient and popular cabin model that blends in very well with the surrounding area. The plot also includes a large outdoor storage shed.
Large plots with good potential for expansion
The plots at Sørlandsleia have a permitted floor area of up to 120 m² BYA. With spacious plots of approximately one mål, there are good opportunities to build a smaller or larger annexe in the future. This has been taken into account in the positioning of the holiday homes. See the illustration in the advert for suggestions on possible locations for an annexe.
A Sørland idyll with beaches, the sea and boating
At Sørlandsleia, you can experience some of the very best the Southern Norway coast has to offer. Here you’ll find a beautiful archipelago, a bustling boating scene, excellent swimming spots and a cosy holiday cottage area with everything within easy reach.
Just below the holiday cottage area, we have developed a new recreational area featuring a large sandy beach with snow-white shell sand, rocky outcrops, extensive lawns and a wide jetty path leading to Åstø marina. It’s the perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, playing and enjoying time together for young and old alike.
In the local area, you’ll also find restaurants, activities and several pleasant meeting places. It’s possible to rent a mooring at Åstø Marina.
Thoroughly reviewed following the TV recording
Following the completion of the TV filming, the cabins have been thoroughly inspected by professional tradespeople. A qualified electrician has also checked the electrical installation and ensured that it complies with current regulations.
The cabins come with a five-year guarantee in accordance with the Building Act, covering the work and supplies that formed part of the cabins before filming began. The warranty period runs from spring 2025. Items that the participants have built or assembled themselves during filming are not necessarily covered by the warranty.
