Summercabin 2026 at Sørlandsleia
Between Lyngør and Tvedestrand you'll find Sørlandsleia – a beautiful, sun-drenched cabin area with spectacular views, great sun exposure from morning to evening, and a short walk to the sea. Here, cabin life begins where the waves end. In 2026, Sørlandsleia in Tvedestrand was the setting for the TV hit Sommerhytta, a national Norwegian TV program broadcast in summer 2026. Over ten intense weeks, viewers got to know four contestant couples competing to win their own summer cabin.
The cabins are of the Frøya 41 model, supplied by Nordlyshytter. This is a modern, space-efficient and popular cabin model that fits very well into the surroundings. The plot also comes with a large outdoor storage shed.
Large plots with good expansion possibilities
The plots at Sørlandsleia have a permitted build-up ratio of up to 120 m² BYA (built-up area). With spacious plots of roughly one "mål" (about 1,000 m²), there's good potential to build a smaller or larger annex in the future. This has been factored into the placement of the cabins. See the illustration in the listing for a suggested possible annex placement.
Southern Norway idyll with beach, sea and boating life
At Sørlandsleia you'll experience some of the best that Norway's southern coast has to offer: a beautiful archipelago, lively boating life, great swimming spots, and a pleasant cabin area with short distances to everything.
Just below the cabin field, a new recreational area has been developed with a large sandy beach, chalk-white shell sand, smooth rocky outcrops, large lawn areas, and a wide dock path connecting to Åstø marina. Everything is in place for swimming, sunbathing, playing, and enjoyable gatherings for both young and old.
The surrounding area also offers restaurants, activities, and several pleasant gathering spots. A boat berth can be rented at Åstø marina.
Thoroughly inspected after the TV filming
After filming wrapped, the cabins were thoroughly inspected by professional tradespeople. A licensed electrician has also checked the electrical system and ensured it complies with current regulations.
The cabins come with a five-year warranty under the Norwegian Housing Construction Act (bustadoppføringslova) covering the work and deliveries that were part of the cabins before filming began. The warranty period runs from spring 2025. Elements that the contestants themselves built or installed during filming are not necessarily covered by the warranty. Please get in touch for a more detailed overview of what this applies to.
